Migration

Skilled Migration

Australia’s General Skilled Migration (GSM) program is ideal for qualified professionals who want to live and work in Australia. It offers pathways to permanent or temporary residency through popular visa subclasses such as the Skilled Independent Visa (subclass 189) and Skilled Nominated Visa (subclass 190).

At Indo Auz, we’ve been delivering trusted, professional education and migration consultancy services since 2017. With offices in Melbourne, Adelaide, and Mohali, we proudly serve a diverse and growing client base across Australia and India.

State Nomination

State nomination empowers Australian state and territory governments to nominate skilled migrants who meet their specific workforce requirements. This nomination significantly increases your chances of being invited to apply for a skilled visa by the Australian Government.

Your residency outcome depends on the visa subclass under which you’re nominated (e.g., Subclass 190 or Subclass 491). Typically, applicants are expected to live and work in the nominating state and demonstrate relevant skills and experience in demand.

To apply for state nomination, you must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through SkillSelect and lodge a State Nomination Application via the respective state government website.

How to Get It

To get a state nomination, submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to both the state and the Federal Government. Some states may charge an application fee.

Applicants are ranked on a points-based system, where higher experience, education, and English skills improve your chances.

Note: EOI and nomination applications are not visa applications. State processing can take up to 12 weeks.
